Lambak Kiri Secondary School was crowned the 2nd National Unified Bocce Tournament’s champion after beating Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Secondary School in the final.
Lambak Kiri Secondary School’s Md Danish Aliuddin bin Md Norizan was named the tournament’s best player. Berakas Secondary School and Menglait Secondary School received bronze medals.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education (MoE) Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the guest of honour, presented the prizes.
The deputy permanent secretary and MoE officials also tried their hands on playing bocce.
The tournament was organised by the MoE’s Department of Special Education and Department of Co-Curriculum Education with Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam (SOBD). It saw participation from 26 teams from secondary schools. – James Kon
