Labuan teachers visit local school

A DELEGATION of 17 education officers from Jabatan Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan (JPWP) Labuan yesterday visited Dato Basir Primary School (SRDB) Cluster 3 of Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan for the Professional Learning Community (PLC) Programme, through the Sharing of Creative and Innovative Learning Materials. The event took place at the school’s Mutiara Hall.

The session was also held in conjunction with the ‘Memorandum Kerjasama, Program Jaringan Antara Majlis Guru Besar, JPWP Labuan Dengan Guru Besar Sekolah Rendah Dato Basir.’

Head of the Quality Assurance Sector of JPWP Labuan Khaziyati binti Osman led the delegation. SRDB Deputy Headmistress Hajah Sarinah binti Haji Ahmad welcomed the delegation.

For the programme, the delegation set up booths offering creative and innovative teaching and learning materials for the students in various subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, Bahasa Melayu, shapes and technologies as well as Jawi. A total of 300 students took part in the activities carried out by the visiting teachers.

The programme also saw a sharing session between the visiting teachers and SRDB teachers.
