The Syariah Faculty of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan’s (KUPU SB) drew the curtains on its course with a certificate presentation at Ta’lim Hall recently.
Leading the event was KUPU SB Ra’es Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar.
Md Munawwir Sazali bin Haji Md Idris represented the course participants in thanking KUPU SB for holding the intensive course on Solat.
He also said the course has shed light on aspects of daily prayers.
KUPU SB Syariah Faculty Dean Dr Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar said KUPU SB is set to continue conducting the course in pursuit of defending and spreading Islam in the country as well as its corporate social responsibility.
Dr Haji Noralizam also highlighted that despite challenges posed by the pandemic, the university college was able to conduct the course from February 19 to March 5, thanks to collaborative efforts.
KUPU SB Syariah Faculty planned its events for the year to include a roadshow on Solat jointly conducted with Mosque Affairs Department, Jaulah Syariah and Solat demonstration to teachers under the Ministry of Education.
Dr Haji Adanan addressed the attendees by encouraging all to perform congregational prayers at the mosque from which a performer will gain safety, sustenance in life and a blissful life in the hereafter.
This is also to be done along with other etiquettes with reciting Basmallah, giving Salam, leaving home towards attending the mosque for prayers, especially Maghrib prayers and Isyak and Fi Sabilillah, he said.
The event also saw a video presentation on the secrets of Solat by KUPU SB Syariah Faculty Senior Assistant Professor Dr Haji Rauf bin Muhammad Amin followed by a certificate presentation by the Ra’es.
The last course held on February 14 saw over 100 participants covering many aspects of Solat conducted by lecturers at KUPU SB Syariah Faculty.
KUPU SB Acting Deputy Ra’es Dr Abang Haji Hadzmin bin Haji Abang Taha, Acting Assistant Ra’es Datin Dr Hajah Noor Hira binti Haji Noor Kaseh officers and lecturers of KUPU SB were also present.
