KUPU SB army cadets get rank insignias

Fourteen army cadets of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) received their rank insignias during a ceremony at the KUPU SB Tarbiyah Hall yesterday.

KUPU SB Ra’es Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar and Commanding Officer of the Royal Brunei Malay Regiment of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 444 Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Suradzin bin Haji Muhammad Yusof were the guests of honour.

Deputy Director of KUPU SB Core Knowledge Centre 686 [email protected] KT Dayangku Zainab binti Pengiran Haji Tuah said the army cadets were presented rank insignias based on certain specifications and criteria, which “include their overall behaviour, persistence, initiatives, characteristics, physical strength, self-confidence, academic evaluation including that they need to pass above PNJK 3.0 examination assessment,” she said.

Dayangku Zainab added, “They need to be active in army cadets’ activities throughout the year including army cadet basic introduction, armed courses, participate in fitness course in Rimba Camp, courses and Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the army cadet establishment 2021.

“Apart from the supportive assessments, their activeness in the cadet such as parade, flag hoisting ceremony in conjunction with the National Day celebrations in 2019 and 2020 were also considered.”

444 Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Suradzin handed over the promotion, with 94000 Sergeant Cadet Muhammad Jafni Fathullah bin Haji Jabidi named Best KUPU SB Army Cadet.

The objective of the event is to fulfil the vision and mission of the university college in producing students that have academic knowledge and practical training. It is part of KUPU SB’s aspiration to produce religious teachers that have strong self-esteem.
