KOREAN food lovers have a new place to dine in following the opening of MeetUAll Restaurant that serves authentic Korean food at the Little Soho building, Batu Bersurat yesterday morning.
Guest of honour Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong officiated the opening of the restaurant during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
James Park Hyun Kyu, Managing Partner of MeetUAll Hajah Normah Suria Hayati binti Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Jamil Al-Sufri, Managing Partner of MeetUAll restaurant Kim Seong Soo, Managing Partner of MeetUAll Mart Baik Rakhyung, Counsellor at the Embassy of Republic of Korea in Brunei Darussalam Lee Tae Hyun also participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The opening of the MeetUAll restaurant and Mart is an indication of the increased interest among Korean businessmen to invest in Brunei Darussalam as well as the increase in the number of Korean tourists coming to Brunei since the start of the direct flight from Bandar Seri Begawan to Incheon.
The main objective of establishing the MeetUAll Restaurant is to introduce Korean authentic food to Brunei Darussalam and increase the understanding of Korean culture and tradition, as well as strengthening the relationship between Brunei Darussalam and Korea.
The setting up of the restaurant also provides job opportunity and training for Bruneians in culinary and hospitality.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism were also present.
Following the launch, the minister and officials toured the MeetUAll Restaurant and Mart.
