The first year of school serves as a platform for parents and guardians to build trust and confidence with Taman Asuhan Kanak-Kanak Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (TASKA YSHHB).

At the same time, it allows for the fostering of teamwork relations between the two parties, with the goal of developing children’s potential through early childhood education.

TASKA YSHHB Principal Datin Hajah Zainab binti Haji Abdul Wahab said this during the 24th Mini Convocation at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas yesterday.

The day saw 176 Kindergarten III pupils receive certificates.

Assistant Managing Director (Corporate Services) of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Abdullah @ Dollah bin Ahad was the guest of honour.

The event saw Kindergarten III students taking the stage for a concert themed around ‘New Normal’.

The three-year learning journey employs a holistic approach encompassing physical and emotional aspects, literacy, numeracy, cognitive development and self-confidence to prepare the young ‘uns before they move into Year 1.

Students were also exposed to community-based projects and programmes including the practise of giving alms, reciting Doa before performing activities, as well as practising healthy lifestyle and self-hygiene.
