Kindergarten students of Chung Hwa School Kiudang (CHSK) recently held a Chinese New Year celebration marking the Year of the Tiger.
The activities led by Chinese teacher Lo Li Ling, aimed at allowing the students learn and understand traditional festivals featuring the Chinese culture and heritage.
Although most students are currently following online learning at home, CHSK promotes the Chinese culture by decorating the school with lanterns and Chinese New Year couplets.
The activity began by teaching CNY greetings using pictures, songs and videos.
Students also learnt about CNY’s decoration put up around the school compound. The kindergarteners ended the celebration by making lantern crafts using red envelopes.
