“Kindergarten graduation is one of the first milestones in a child education journey and celebrating it helps children to understand how important education is from an early age”, said St James’ School Principal Riman binti Sitai during the school’s graduation ceremony for 40 kindergarten pupils on Wednesday.
She added, “Kindergarten graduation is a rite of passage that marks the end of time in not only fun but formative years of classes as students prepare to step into a completely new world of primary school level.”
The principal also congratulated the graduates and expressed gratitude for the support from parents and guardians, as well as the dedication from the supervisors and teachers.
Vice Chairman of the school’s Board of Governor Andrew Yong attended as the guest of honour, joined by teachers and staff of the school, as well as parents and guardians of the pupils.
The ceremony began with the singing of national and school anthems, followed by a speech from the principal.
This was followed by the presentation of awards to top performing pupils, as well as Special Awards to celebrate pupils’ achievements by the principal and deputy principal.
A group photo session was held to mark the conclusion of the event.
