Belait Arabic School (SAB) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for its Year 6 students.

Headmistress Hajah Noramalina binti Haji Mohd Ali and teachers observed 54 students of Sanah 6 class participate in the Khatam.

The ceremony helped encourage Khatam recitation at an early age, instil a love for Al-Quran reading, and increase understanding on the proper way to recite Al-Quran.

The event was streamed online, in view of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Starting with the mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, the ceremony continued with the recitation of Surah-Surah Lazim by the Khatam participants, and Takhtim by school students.

After the recitation of Doa Khatam, the Dikir Marhaban was conducted with the headmistress sprinkling scented oil and handing gifts to Khatam participants.

The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat by teacher Ahmad Za’aim bin Haji Bagol.
