The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a Khatam Al-Quran event in conjunction with the RBAF 61st anniversary celebration at all Ministry of Defence and RBAF suraus, including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque, with the focal event at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.
Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan was the guest of honour. The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by the RBAF Commander, followed by the recitation of Al-Quran verses by the Khatam participants.
The event continued with Dikir Marhaban, presentation of tokens of appreciation and concluded with Asar prayer.
Also in attendance were service commanders, joint force commander, military directors, commandants, senior officers, officers as well as personnel of the RBAF.
