Descendents of Ahmad family (JKA) held a Khatam Al-Quran to mark the 77th birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pegiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Madang yesterday.
Pehin Orang Kaya Jurulateh Adat Istiadat Diraja Dato Paduka Haji Mashhor bin Haji Awang Metahir and spouse were present.
The family gathering organised for the second time began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by chairperson Haji Abdul Hakim bin Haji Mohd Yassin followed by Dikir Marhaban, recitation of Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Sayyidul Istighfar as well as Doa Kesyukuran and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam. – Azlan Othman
