The Jurai Keturunan Ahmad (JKA) held a 76 times Khatam Al-Quran ceremony, in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 76th birth anniversary, at the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Madang yesterday.
JKA Advisor Pehin Datu Paduka Raja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Shari bin Ahmad was the guest of honour.
Ninety participants comprising JKA family members took part in the event.
Event Chairman Haji Abdul Hakim bin Haji Mohd Yassin, in his welcoming remarks, said the event aimed to contribute to society by providing aid in the form of monetary funds and beneficial religious events.
