Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for religious school students

Datu Mahawangsa Lambak Religious School, Brunei IIA, held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for its Primary Six students at the school’s Bunga Simpur Hall on Wednesday.

The ceremony saw 22 students comprising 12 boys and 10 girls participating.

Head of Religious Practical for Inspectorate Section of the Islamic Studies Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Junaidi bin Haji Abdullah was the guest of honour.

Among the objectives of the event were to encourage students to recite Al-Quran fluently and ensure they are able to finish all 30 Juzuk before completing their primary school-level religious studies.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour followed by the recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuha to Surah Al-Lahab by the participants, and Takhtim by Primary Four and Five female students.

Doa Khatam was read by Md Adly Hakim Hanania bin Md Exzayra/Norman, followed by Dikir Marhaban by Primary Four and Five male students.

The guest of honour presented certificates and the ceremony concluded with Doa Selamat read by Ayyub bin Haji Md Salleh.
