The Informed Community Programme (PMB), organised by the Information Department, provides opportunities for the community to understand the agencies and departments’ roles and responsibilities to ensure the well-being of the community through talks and visits, said Senior Information Officer and Chairperson for the programme Hajah Hamsah binti Datu Kerna Haji Jaya yesterday during a two-day programme for 27 members of the Belait District Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PKWE) at the Kuala Belait Recreational Park.

Acting Deputy Director of the Information Department Sastra Sarina binti Haji Julaini attended.

The activities conducted on the first day of the programme included talks from Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) on small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and the Syariah Affairs Department on the concept of halal food in Islam.

Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood shared information on fruits and vegetables found in the Sul-tanate, while the Internal Security Department held a dialogue session.
