Kampung Buangkok FC thrash Kota Ranger BK FC 7-1

Kampung Buangkok FC delivered a commanding 7-1 victory against Kota Ranger BK FC in the Brunei Elite Futsal League at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

The emphatic win lifted the visiting Singaporean team into the top three of the standings, earning nine points from five matches.

Indonesian star Bambang Bayu Saptaji spearheaded the attack, opening the scoring in the fourth minute. Habibi Sulan doubled the lead in the eighth minute before Saptaji netted a free-kick a minute later for his second goal.

Kota Ranger BK FC pulled one back through Al-Izzra Abdullah in the 15th minute, closing the first half at 3-1.

The second half saw Kampung Buangkok FC extend their dominance, with Sulan scoring again in the 24th minute. Saptaji completed his hat-trick a minute later, followed by Razaki Abdul Rahman’s strike in the 29th minute. Md Hussaini Abdullah sealed the victory with the seventh goal.

Head coach Ahmad Hanif Sarmin praised the team’s performance, stating, “The players capitalised on every opportunity, and our strategies paid off. Their fighting spirit was key to today’s success.”

A day earlier, Kampung Buangkok FC defeated Shah United 8-2, with Saptaji contributing four goals. Razaki Abd Rahman added two, while Md Hussaini Abdullah and Muhammad Arif Jamaludin each scored one. – Fadley Faisal
