JERUDONG Park Medical Centre (JPMC) handed over a mock cheque worth BND4,365 to the Brunei Down Syndrome Association (ABLE), yesterday during a ceremony at the JPMC main building.
Minister of Health Dato Paduka Dr Haji Md Isham bin Jaafar, who is in his capacity as the Chairman of JPMC presented the mock cheque.
The ceremony also saw the presentation of prizes for lucky draw winners of the JPMC Open Day held on May 11.
A short video presentation showcasing the series of events throughout May such as Spinning for Charity and JPMC Open Day was displayed. The JPMC Open Day raised proceeds from its games and activities, various vendors, food stalls and donation boxes to be donated to ABLE.
JPMC Director of Nursing Chung Yea Fui presented the prizes to the lucky draw winners. The prizes include health screening packages at JPMC, membership for JPMC fitness centre and food vouchers. Participants also won complimentary token gifts from Standard Chartered Bank, Microsoft (B) Sdn Bhd, and merchandises from JPMC.
