JPMC appointed as COVID-19 vaccination centre

Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) has been appointed by the Ministry of Health (MoH) as a vaccination centre to assist in further protecting the nation with COVID-19 vaccine, JPMC announced yesterday.

JPMC Medical Director Dr Meera Sahib Kabeer was the first to be vaccinated at JPMC, followed by senior management of JPMC, senior management of Gleneagles JPMC and senior management of Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC).

The JPMC said that they will continue to vaccinate front liners, staff, diplomats, travelling students and travellers approved by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

“Being one of the leading countries to be COVID-free, vaccination will allow the long-awaited assurance of a safe country from the pandemic. It has been a battle that everyone fought, but through a united nation, working together as a country, Brunei has maintained a remarkable record and kept COVID-free nation,” JPMC said in a press statement.

“Under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam has become a COVID-free country.

“With the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination programme, we will continue to be a safe country,” the statement added.
