Joint venture seeks to complement Brunei’s industrial growth

Serikandi Oilfield Services Sdn Bhd and Kent PLC have signed an agreement to form a joint venture company in Brunei Darussalam.  

Signing on behalf of Serikandi was Chairman and Managing Director Shaikh Khalid Shaikh Haji Ahmad, and Executive Vice President of Asia-Pacific Operation Joseph McCormick, who represented Kent PLC. The signing ceremony was held at the Serikandi Corporate Office.

Utilising Serikandi’s local knowledge, assets, and infrastructure and Kent’s global expertise, the venture aims to form an unparalleled Brunei-based project services company – “Global Expertise, Delivered Locally” delivering a strong Brunei-based engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) capable organisation.

CEO of Serikandi Revi Bhaskaran said, “This signing ceremony is the culmination of nine months of building a solid relationship based on aligned objectives and core values. This joint venture will complement industry growth and create more opportunities for skill development in Brunei Darussalam.

“I thank both teams for their efforts to achieve this important milestone for their respective companies. I am confident this new venture will build on individual expertise and deliver safe, quality, integrated solutions for our clients.”

Joe McCormick meanwhile said, “We are excited to work with Serikandi Oilfield Services. We believe we have the facilities and technological skills to help deliver the activities.

“Our ambition is to build long-term relationships with businesses that share our values and vision and help make a difference together.”
