Joining hands to expand halal knowledge

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre (PPHT) has intensified efforts to establish a network of collaboration with the Halal Institute, Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Thailand, following a memorandum of agreement (MoA) signing held virtually.

PPHT Director Pengiran Dr Hajah Norkhairiah binti Pengiran Haji Hashim and Director of the Halal Institute Assistant Professor Dr Asman Taeali signed on the dotted line.

Assistant Professor Dr Asman Taeali opined that the MoA signing allows both sides to further develop and disseminate knowledge and expertise during training courses for academic staff.

Industrial training can also be employed to produce innovative and professional graduates.

Meanwhile, Pengiran Dr Hajah Norkhairiah said the collaboration serves as a platform to develop halal-related knowledge at the archipelago and international levels.

UNISSA looks forward to PSU’s support to develop cooperation, particularly in the field of Halal Science.
