Johari Haji Ahmad rolled back the years with a superb with a weekend of golf after winning the inaugural NBT Trophy 2022 at The Empire Brunei Country Club golf course yesterday.
The experienced golfer carded a score of 70 to win the gross category, two shots ahead of runners-up Nat Bhanthumachinda.
Haji Khairul Jamaluddin settled for third place with a score of 74 in the gross category.
Kahar Bakar claimed the nett title along with his Division ‘A’ title after putting a solid 65 to his name.
Pengiran Yura Wira took the runners-up spot in the Division ‘A’ nett category with a score of 65, followed by Jun Chong in third place with a score of 66.
Meanwhile in the Division ‘B’ category, Wan Mohd Tambrin sealed top place with a score of 66 followed by Chua Wei Hoang, and Izman Junaidi in third place.
In the Pro category, Bryan Chiew finished with the best score followed by Awangku Syakir Pengiran Haji Alli and Qawim Aslimon.
DSP Abdul Aziz Tamit clinched the senior nett title while Hajah Rusni Haji Lamat emerged victorious in the ladies nett category.
The tournament, which teed off last Thursday, was organised by NBT Brunei Sdn Bhd in partnership with the Brunei Darussalam Golf Association (BDGA).
