Fifteen new COVID-19 cases were detected in Jerudong Fish Market making it a new cluster.
Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, during the daily press conference, said the vendors at the market are being quarantined and undergoing swab test.
The minister said the Brunei-Muara District Office contacted the vendors to see if they have relatives, not living with them, that can run the businesses temporarily. The temporary operators will need to be fully vaccinated and has green BruHealth code.
Prior to the new cases, the market’s vendors underwent antigen rapid test (ART) screening once a week. The standard operating procedures (SOP) will be the same for the new vendors.
