Jazz up your interior space during the pandemic

THE STAR – It has not been easy having to stay largely indoors due to COVID-19 movement restrictions.

Either voluntarily minimising outside contact, or under mandatory home quarantine, the four walls are all we have during these unprecedented times. Our home has become where we live, work, relax, study and exercise, all under the same roof.

As we might have to live with COVID-19 for a while, we have to learn to create a home environment that is multi-functional and flexible in meeting our various needs.

Adding small touches can liven things up in unexpected ways.

Here are some tips on revitalising your living space:

While working from home, it is important to have a space that works for you to ensure comfort and productivity. Switch up the look of your working area for a more inspirational setting. Never underestimate the importance of a comfortable chair and suitable work lamp to create a conducive environment.

Add a personal touch to your home with simple yet tasteful decorative pieces. Brighten up different spots with artwork, plants and decorative pieces to reflect your personality.

Sometimes, a special corner is just what we need to destress or get inspired. Cosy up your outdoor space, be it in the front yard, back yard or balcony. Make it your go-to space when you need that time off to sit back and relax.

Spending days indoors can always be enjoyable when you treat yourself.

Look forward to breakfast in bed plated in nice trays or enjoy a movie night with comfortable quilts and pillows.
