Japanese man nabbed over alleged paedophilia acts in Indonesia

JAKARTA (Bernama) – Indonesian police have captured a Japanese man who allegedly committed sexual acts on children in South Jakarta, a police officer has said, Xinhua news agency reported.

Ando Akira, 49, was accused of involving in sexual acts on children who are tissue sellers at a shopping centre, spokesman of Jakarta police Commissioner, Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, disclosed.

“We have charged him according to the child protection law,” he said at his office.

Akira worked as a chef in a Japanese restaurant.

Each child gets one million rupiah in the case, according to the spokesman. The spokesman said that he had informed the Japanese embassy of the case.
