Radio Television Brunei (RTB) yesterday continued its 14th Jalinan Kasih project in Brunei-Muara District and Tutong District, to commemorate Radio Brunei services’ 65th anniversary.
Acting Head of Radio Programmes Salmi binti Haji Ibrahim led the delegation in handing out cash and daily necessities to four underprivileged kids from the Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA).
The project is part of RTB’s corporate social responsibility in supporting the government’s aspiration of creating a community that looks out for the welfare of the less fortunate.
Radio Brunei services started on May 2, 1957. Since airing, Radio Brunei has played a major role in channelling information, education and entertainment to members of the public.
