Jail sentence reduced in armed robbery case

The Court of Appeal reduced a local man’s penalty for committing robbery, armed with a knife to four years’ imprisonment and 12 whippings. President of the Court of Appeal Justice Michael Peter Burrell, sitting with Justices Conrad Seagroatt and Michael Victor Lunn arrived at the decision after considering the degree of offences committed and the defendant’s instant guilty plea.
