THE International Women’s Club of Brunei (IWCB) handed over a donation totalling BND1,000 to the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei yesterday.

Eight IWCB members led by its President Ungku Datin Hajah Fanzah binti Haji Osman toured the facilities at SMARTER EDGE Centre in Kampong Mata-Mata, Gadong and handed over the donation to SMARTER Brunei President Malai Haji Abdullah bin Malai Haji Othman.

IWCB was incepted in 1988 to promote social exchange between Bruneian women and the women from the international community in Brunei Darussalam.

The club organises regular talks or presentations, group visits to places of interest within Brunei Darussalam and overseas and also participates in social or sporting activities with other associations to achieve this aim.

IWCB has a particular focus in these activities which is to raise funds for local charities as well as for the needy in neighbouring countries.
