Isolation centres get connected

Progresif Sdn Bhd under its Enterprise team, has provided Internet connectivity at isolation facilities and volunteering centres with Wi-Fi coverage via its Enterprise Wi-Fi Solutions.

In the last month, Progresif’s Enterprise Solutions together with Unified National Networks (UNN) worked alongside the Ministry of Health (MoH), National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC), Ministry of Defence (MinDef) and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) to complete and accommodate nine isolation sites and two COVID volunteering centres across the country with Internet connectivity installed with wireless routers.

The team also achieved a record of 72 man-hours completion for equipping Internet connectivity at the National Service Programme (PKBN) Training Camp in Temburong District, Rimba Arabic School and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School.

The Wi-Fi Solutions aim to support frontliners’ operation and provide basic Internet connectivity for patients’ communication needs.

Chief Sales Officer Junaidi Bahrum said, “We are pleased to have been entrusted to implement the projects.”

UNN Senior Manager of Network Service Delivery and Rollout Management Buhari Amath added, “Due to the nature of the Delta variant and the community spread, requirements evolved quickly. It is our prerogative to provide the support, especially to the MoH, in fighting against COVID-19. We expect the sites to expand and requirements to evolve so we shall continue to cater to this, no matter what the challenges may be.”
