A 68-year-old local male passed away following a heart attack while driving on the Mumong Highway, Kuala Belait, the Royal Brunei Police Force reported yesterday.
The incident about the car crash was reported to the Kuala Belait Police Station at 11.36am.
On arrival, authorities found the vehicle had swerved onto the side of the road.
Initial investigations revealed the victim was travelling from Kuala Belait to Seria and was in an unresponsive state.
The paramedics rushed the victim to the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital where doctors confirmed that the victim had passed away.
It is believed the man had died of a heart attack while driving.
