Some 20 vocational instructors from Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) who completed their training on ‘Conducting an Impact Evaluation of Education and Training Programmes’ were awarded with certificates by Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (SEAMEO Voctech) Regional Centre at the institute’s Aviation School yesterday.

IBTE Acting Deputy CEO (Academic) Norjemee bin Jenek; SEAMEO Voctech Deputy Director of Professional Affairs cum Research Specialist and course facilitator of the training programme Dr Paryono attended the ceremony.

Over the course of the four-day training, instructors learnt how to determine a project’s potential impacts and if it meets its objectives. The method can also be used as feedback in the examination of various development processes.

At the end of the training programme, the 20 instructors produced action plans containing evidence of their learning and presented specific tasks with their new knowledge and skills.

The programme was conducted from January 24 to 26 and 30 to 31.
