The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community, invited those with technical background to join their membership at a talk at I-Lotus Restaurant in Rimba on Saturday from 2pm to 4.15pm.
IET Brunei Local Network, organisers of the talk, said that by joining this institution, members will be part of a community working together to engineer a better world.
International Professional Registration Advisor Lim Sam Lee will speak about the benefits of joining the professional organisation, the route to apply for IET CEng (Chartered Engineer) or IEng (Incorporated Engineer) during the talk.
There will also be a demonstration on how and where to register as an IET member on the IET website. Admission is free.
IET has more than 168,000 members in 150 countries and offices in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
It provides a global knowledge network to facilitate the exchange of ideas and promote the positive role of science, engineering and technology in the world.
