The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs yesterday distributed miniature table flags to primary, secondary, college, Arabic and religious school students in preparation for the 39th National Day celebration.
In the Belait District, the ceremony was held at St John’s School with 160 students receiving the flag. Head of Cluster Six of Schools Halizawati binti Haji Kepli was the guest of honour.
Following the singing of the national anthem, the guest of honour distributed the miniature table flags to each class.
The students also sang and waved the miniature flags to the tune of the patriotic song Berkibarlah Bendera.
