Instilling a love for reading

DES School

DES School held a series of activities in the last week of its first term, including Reading Carnival from March 1 to 3, which saw parents reading along with their children in class, a celebration to mark World Book Day (Copyright Day) on March 4, where students had a show-and-tell of their favourite books and dressed up as their favourite characters.

An English Week, themed ‘Explore English for a Brighter Tomorrow’, was also held where students gleefully participate in spelling bees, poster making and poetry recitations.
