Information Dept organises Civic Village Programme

The Information Department through the Nationhood Unit, Nationhood and Community Division began its first Post-Graduate Civic Village Programme 2020 at the Auditorium of the Extension Building of the Information Department, Old Airport, Berakas last Saturday.

Acting Deputy Director of Information Sastra Sarini binti Haji Julaini in her capacity as the Chairperson of the programme was present.

Parents, participants and committee members were also present.

Some 15 participants comprising graduates from higher education institutions within and outside the country are taking part in the programme.

The event saw a welcoming speech by Sastra Sarini followed by a briefing by Information Officer Mohammad Hisyam bin Idris as the Co-Secretary of the programme.

The Civic Village Programme for post-graduates, which began in 1976, is implemented by the Information Department to prepare the participants to be more competitive and capable of facing challenges by taking up employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The programme will end on February 14.
