A virtual religious ceremony to mark the Israk Mikraj celebration for 1443 Hijrah celebration was held by the Information Department yesterday.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Acting Deputy Director Haji Fathi Foad bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abu Bakar.
It was enlivened with a special religious talk on Khusyuk Dalam Sembahyang delivered by a religious officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi, who shared tips on how to stay focussed when performing prayers.
He said according to Imam Ghazali, it is best to practise Hudhur Al-Qalbi (putting aside all the worldly matters unrelated to prayers and Allah the Almighty),Tafahhum – (striving to understanding all the meaning in the recitation of prayers), At-Ta’dzim (glorifying Allah the
Almighty), Al-Haibah (fear), Ar-Rajaa’ (hope) and Al-Haya’ (modesty).
Israk Mikraj is the journey of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) after losing his wife Sayyidatina
Khadijahra and his uncle Abu Thalib, where the prophet met with other prophets before given the command to perform the daily prayers.
Acting Director of the Information Department Haji Shahrul Jeffri bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim attended the ceremony with senior officers, officers and staff.
