THE Information Department through its Tutong Branch continued the series of briefing progamme titled ‘Nationhood, Appreciating the National Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ in a continuous effort to instil love for the monarchy, religion and nation among school students.
Two nationhood briefings were held recently, one at Mahad Islam Brunei and attended by Deputy Principal (Administration) Ustaz Zaidi bin Mohidin, Deputy Principal (Academic) Ustazah Hajah Kamsiah binti Haji Morshidi, teachers and 55 Year 7 students.
The other briefing was held at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Secondary School (SM RIPAS), attended by Principal Hajah Amal Nuriyah binti Haji Ahmad Kumpoh and Year 7 students and teachers.
The briefings aimed to strengthen solidarity and patriotism among the students through instilling love for the monarchy, national flag and national anthem.
Head of Information (Tutong Branch) Hasanul Hidayat bin Haji Abu Bakar delivered the nationhood briefing at both places, where he spoke about the monarchy, national flag hoisting and waving procedures, and the history of the national anthem Allah Peliharakan Sultan.
The briefings also saw the students watching video clips titled Kibarkanlah Dengan Megah Bendera Negara and Semarak Pengibaran Bendera Negara, and an animation video titled Tatacara Mengibarkan Bendera followed by a quiz session.
Both briefings concluded with the presentation of prizes to students who answered the quizzes correctly.
