MSB Enterprise presented infant car seats to 14 parents of newborn babies during a ceremony at the Women and Children’s Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital on Friday.
It was part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) collaboration between SC Tubular Solutions (B) Sdn Bhd and Mothercare Brunei.
The parents of the newborns were given a car seat demonstration by SC Tubular QHSSE Manager Tony Chua prior to the presentation ceremony.
A video presentation by Mothercare focussed on the safety of infant and children as well as all adults during road travel.
Mothercare also highlighted the proper way of installing car seat, which is rear-facing position (behind the passenger’s seat) and shared road safety tips.
The aim of this initiative was to raise awareness on the importance of safety of children in cars and highlighting the role of infant car seats for protection of kids up to four years old.
The collaboration between Mothercare and SC Tubular began last year.
Since March 2019, they have given away infant car seats at three hospitals in the Brunei-Muara, Tutong and Belait districts.
