STUDENTS of the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei participated in a work activity conducted by Kianbee Company at the Brunei Autism Centre for Adults (BACA) in Kampong Sungai Hanching recently.
Participants were required to stick labels onto bags of Frito-Lay snacks, one of the products sold under Kianbee Company. They were supervised by representatives of the company.
The participants also received festive green packets from Executive Director of Kianbee Company Eileen Lim.
President and founder of SMARTER Brunei Malai Haji Abdullah bin Malai Haji Othman said, “The activity proves individuals with autism can work on simple, repetitive and non-demanding tasks with no deadlines to protect them from any work-related stresses.”
