The Table-Top Exercise (TTX) supports the whole-of-nation concept, notably in enhancing the spirit of cooperation among relevant agencies on matters pertaining to the security and prosperity of Brunei Darussalam.
This was highlighted by Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali during the opening ceremony of the TTX at the Banquet Hall, Prime Minister’s Office yesterday.
The exercise is also intended to foster relations among the agencies involved, in addition to providing an avenue and opportunity for direct communications as well as test the effectiveness of existing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The exercise dubbed Eksesais Perisai Kebangsaan (EPK) seeks to ensure the nation’s readiness in upholding its security and prosperity. This year’s EPK TTX also takes into consideration Brunei Darussalam’s security preparation as it takes on the role of ASEAN Chair in 2021, notably in hosting the ASEAN Summit.
Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments and exercise participants from different stakeholders were also present at the opening ceremony.
The exercise will conclude tomorrow.
