The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) through its Student Affairs Section held its annual sports event at the Royal Brunei Air Force Sports Complex at Rimba Air Base yesterday.
Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, the guest of honour, presented medals and prizes to the winners.
The event began with a march-past by the college’s sport houses – Fathonah, Amanah, Siddiq and Tabligh – accompanied by the KUPU SB police cadet.
Among the categories during the event were tug-of-war, javelin throw, shot-put, discus throw, 100-metre and 400-metre runs and 4×100-metre run.
Amanah house emerged as overall champion for KUPU SB sports event for 2022.
The event’s objective was to forge closer ties or Ukhuwah Fillah between students and lecturers, while promoting teamwork, healthy competition, cooperation and professionalism.
