In appreciation of KUPU SB students’ contributions

The Student Representative Council, Students Association of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) held an appreciation ceremony yesterday at the Banquet Hall of Rimba Garden Central.

The event was held to appreciate the services and contributions of the Student Representative Council of the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 sessions and to mark the conclusion of a leadership course for members of the Student Representative Council 2020/2021 which began on January 5.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to former members of the Student Representative Council while course completion certificates were presented to members of the Student Representative Council who recently completed a leadership course.

Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar presented the certificates.

Acting Registrar of KUPU SB Haji Sufri bin Kurus and KUPU SB senior officers as well as staff were also present.

In a welcoming speech, President of the Student Representative Council for 2018/2019 Abdul Nasir Saufi bin Hassan explained that the appointment as a member of the Student Representative Council is one of trust that is also accompanied with experience, responsibility, challenges and obstacles aimed at giving one strength as a trusted leader.

He said the experience gained is valuable and useful especially after graduation because it develops one to be more mature, responsible, efficient and able to work cooperatively.

He added that with every task carried out, each member needs the support and encouragement from all parties, including the administration, lecturers, family and friends.

He also urged the members to work together in realising the vision and missions of  KUPU SB.
