Yesterday’s Friday sermon touched on the importance of the Royal Brunei Police Force’s (RBPF) role in maintaining the country’s peace and stability.

“The RBPF is one of the entrusted agencies in eradicating crime and upholding the law. The police force marked its 100th anniversary yesterday, with the theme of ‘Respecting the Past, Celebrating the Present and Protecting the Future’,” Imams said during the sermon.

“The RBPF is the oldest agency in the country which has expanded, not only as an enforcement agency in eradicating crime, but also in preserving the nation’s sovereignty and peace.

“But we should not give the police the sole responsibility of preserving peace and stability.

Cooperation from the public, security agencies, stakeholders and the community is highly welcomed.

“People should work together to eradicate crime, by informing the police on criminal activities, to preserve peace and stability.

“Let us pray for Allah the Almighty to confer us blessings by means of strong faith, good health and prosperity for all.”
