Some 37 pints of blood were collected at imagine’s blood donation drive at the company’s headquarters in the capital. The drive saw the participation of donors from other corporate companies operating in the capital.
The initiative is one of imagine’s corporate social responsibilities that leverages on the generous nature of Bruneians, especially leading up to Ramadhan where individuals are encouraged to give back to those in need.
Donors were rewarded with complementary imagine merchandise, a press release stated.
imagine CEO Suzannawati binti Haji Suharju was among the donors. The company also invited those from TOTAL, Royal Brunei Airlines, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Standard Chartered Bank Brunei and Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd. Other donors include members of the public.
imagine also opened other donation channels to assist those in need. imagine’s mainstay charity feature known as A-Dollar-A-Cheer (ADAC) invites postpaid and prepaid mobile subscribers to donate to various local causes and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that are rotated every three months. Alternatively, imagine’s website also carries a donation portal that provides opportunities for non-imagine subscribers to give back to society.
Donations are made by typing ADAC [space] 1/5/10/15/20/50/100 to donate either BND1/BND5/BND10/BND15/BND20/BND50/BND100 and send to 39998.
From April until the end of June, imagine has identified three NGOs to receive ADAC donations – Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) and the National Association for the Hearing-Impaired.
