imagine Sdn Bhd announced the launch of its latest corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative as a complement to its existing A-Dollar-A-Cheer (ADAC) SMS donation platform.

Under the ADAC programme launched in September, donations can be made through www.imagine.com.bn where proceeds will be channelled to identified charities and initiatives throughout the country.

For the last quarter of 2020 under ADAC, imagine identified two local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and one seasonal project.

One of the NGOs is Project FEED, a social enterprise which works with underprivileged families. The youth-led movement focusses on helping economically challenged families in Brunei Darussalam to generate their own income through skills training and home businesses.

Among their activities include mentorship programmes, skills training, business monitoring and assistance which enable economically challenged families to eventually earn a profitable income.

The second identified NGO is UnikLearn by An-Nur Harapan, a training and internship programme for youth of different abilities, which aims to empower them towards independent living by enhancing their social skills and personal interactions. The skills learned under the programme include soft skills or employability skills, functional living skills, training for service occupation, and internship training.

imagine is also preparing for its seasonal back-to-school campaign, providing funds for underprivileged school-age children in the new year.

The project aims to purchase school essentials such as uniforms, shoes, books and stationery.

The public can contribute to imagine’s ADAC fund by donating BND1, BND5, BND10, BND15, BND20, BND50, or BND100 by visiting the company’s website.

Alternatively, imagine post-paid and pre-paid subscribers may opt to donate by typing ADAC [WITH SPACE] 1/5/10/15/20/50/100 for the respective denominations and send to 39998.
