Hajah Faridah Hanim binti Haji Mohd Yussof, the spouse of Attorney General Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa, hosted the event.

The event started with a mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa, and continued with the presentation of gifts from Saffron’s management to lift the spirits of the 20 guests.

Buzzing Bees was formed in 2016 by a group of students with the vision of carrying on the legacy of the late Dr Hajah Sainah binti Haji Saim, a former Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) senior lecturer who carried out research on poverty alleviation.

Buzzing Bees activities include the selling of baked goods and providing home tuition to the public to fund their ongoing charity work, which is also supported by the Community Development Department (JAPEM), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
