The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Agro-Technology Campus, School of Agro-Technology and Applied Sciences, welcomed some 196 students for its 17th intake during an orientation ceremony on Tuesday.
The orientation week, which ends today, focusses on familiarising the new students with the campus, instructors and its facilities.
On the first day, Head of School Zaitunah binti Haji Kurus welcomed the students and their parents or guardians, followed by a dialogue session about the school and its programmes.
Briefings by the Blood Donation Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital and on students’ email by the Information Technology Services Division concluded the first day.
Yesterday, an IBTE legal officer talked on HIV awareness and harassment. Talks by the IBTE Agrotechnology Resource Centre and on health, safety and environment (HSE) were also held, including ice-breaking and team-building sessions.
