I would like to draw attention to the problem of house cats causing nuisance in residential areas.
My neighbour, for example, seems fine with her cats roaming freely in the neighbourhood, spraying and pooping in other people’s properties.
It’s akin to me going to someone’s yard and leaving my garbage there without permission.
I’m not against cats or other animals, for that matter. However, I believe that to be a responsible cat owner is to keep his or her cats indoors instead of allowing them to make a mess or yowl loudly in other people’s yard.
It is simply wrong to expect fellow residents to put up with the nightmare caused by the cats.
Being a good neighbour is about taking fellow residents’s well-being into consideration; individualism simply has no place in the equation.
