Grand City Hotel, as one of the quarantine venues, expressed appreciation to guests who completed their quarantine period by handing over hand sanitisers upon leaving the hotel last Sunday.
Director of Grand City Hotel Helen Ong said giving out the hand sanitiser to the students was a way of showing appreciation for staying strong during this difficult period, being co-operative and well-behaved. The sanitiser is also a way of reminding to keep themselves clean and sanitise whenever they need to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“The students in turn left thank you notes, which made the management and staff feel appreciated. We are grateful that these students kept the room neat and clean when checking out and followed the instructions given. Thumbs up to them. Let’s work together and overcome this difficult time,” Ong said.
She added that cooperation between the hotel staff, medical team and volunteers ensured the safety and well-being of the guests in quarantine.
The 63 local students, who returned home from Egypt, were among the hundreds of students who completed their 14-day quarantine and were allowed to go back home last Sunday.
The students expressed their gratitude to the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as well as the medical team and volunteers for caring for them from their arrival up to their departure.
