Host of events as Open Day kicks off February 25

The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Open Day is scheduled to be held at its campus from February 25-28, from 8am to 4pm.

KUPU SB offers religious teaching programme at various levels including Doctorate, Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Higher Diploma and Diploma.

Fields available at the postgraduate level include Usuluddin, Syariah, History and Islamic Civilisation, Arabic, Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama’ah studies and Islamic education. For the undergraduate level, Islamic education and various minor fields are also offered.

The four-day event will provide information on the programmes, academic and co-curricular activities offered, and allow the public an opportunity to interact with lecturers and KUPU SB officers. The open day will also showcase students’ involvement in academic, co-curricular, uniformed and entrepreneurial activities while at KUPU SB.

Side events include the KUPU SB Co-Curriculum exhibition, static exhibition of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), entrepreneurship expo, I-Usahawan briefing, fire safety education, skills workshops on CV writing and interview, sports reflexology workshops, archery, and film screenings of KUPU SB students. A cultural expo will also be held and participated by several embassies, including the Royal Embassy of Thailand in Brunei Darussalam, which will hold its ‘Thailand Day’ on February 28.

The event is open to the public. In adhering to the Ministry of Health guidelines, body temperature checks, BrunHealth QR code scans and social distancing will be enforced. Individuals feeling under the weather are advised not to participate.
