The Endocrinology Unit at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital will hold a roadshow in conjunction with World Diabetes Day 2022 today on Level 1 of OneCity Shopping Centre in Kampong Salambigar.
The event, themed ‘Access to Diabetes Care’, will feature activities such as health checks, exhibitions about diabetes, counselling from diabetes educator nurse at RIPAS Hospital and community health nurses.
The Nutritional Unit at RIPAS Hospital will hold an exhibition on diabetes and counsel the public on healthy eating while the Eye Centre will offer eye examinations, have a poster exhibition on diabetes and provide information on eye health.
The Podiatry Unit at RIPAS Hospital will have a poster exhibition, to educate the public on proper foot care for those with diabetes and offer foot examinations while the Health Promotion Centre (HPC) will hold an exhibition, conduct quizzes and colouring activities for children.
EVYD Technology will organise a diabetes clinical research exhibition in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
All activities will be from 10am-4.30pm while the HPC will conduct a Zumba class free to the public from 4.30pm-5pm.
