The four-day Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) Open Day 2021 was launched yesterday, under the theme Innovation and Integrated Education for Youth Empowerment.
Officiating the launch at the KIGS main lobby and Business Marketing Communication Centre (BMCC), Head of Academic Haji Hasnul bin Haji Hamdani pointed out that the college had undergone a revamp, bringing change and a fresh start.
“We believe there is something for everyone, as shown by the range of programmes at KIGS. We emphasise on innovation and initiative, and we continue to look for possibilities of creating conditions for our students to grow in experience, skills and knowledge.”
KIGS CEO Dr Haji Azaharaini bin Haji Jamil launched the opening ceremony.
The works of students from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Information Technology, and Faculty of Multimedia and Broadcasting will be displayed at the BMCC and main lobby of the college from 9am to 4pm until tomorrow.
Activities will include a local fashion designer discussing her adaptation of redesigning used clothes, a haunted-hall and a bazaar.
Other participating vendors include the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Brunei History Centre, Language and Literature Bureau Library, and Brunei Museums.
